Scribblingwoman has a neat idea – a list of those authors by whom we’ve read at least 10 books.
As far as I can tell, my list is something like this (alphabetically):

- Piers Anthony
- Isaac Asimov
- Stephen Baxter
- Enid Blyton
- David Brin
- Orson Scott Card
- C.J. Cherryh
- Arthur C. Clark
- Harry Harrison
- Robert Heinlein
- C.S. Lewis
- Anne McCaffrey
- Larry Niven
- Terry Pratchett
- E.E. ‘Doc’ Smith
- David Weber
- P.G. Wodehouse
The interesting thing, writing this list, is that quite a few of these authors I now never read at all, whereas others remain firm favourites even after years. I’ll leave you to try and work out which are which 
Of course, it also omits many of my favourite authors, simply because they’ve not written 10 books (or, at least, I’ve not discovered that they have!).
